Walter Gay Pittman, M.D.

Dr. Pittman earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. He remained at this institution to perform both his internship and his residency, the latter of which he completed in 1971. Dr. Pittman joined the Urology Centers of Alabama, P.C. in 1999.

Currently, Dr. Pittman is a member of several professional associations including the American Medical Association, the American Board of Urology and the Alabama Medical Association. He is also active in the community and currently serves on the Chamber of Commerce in Birmingham.

Dr. Pittman remains active in his field. He is the Director of Clinical Research for Urology Centers of Alabama, P.C. He has also authored articles that have appeared in leading medical journals and he has given presentation relating to urology. Dr. Pittman is board certified by the American Board of Urology and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
